Sub: Unauthorized travelling in SLRD Coaches.
During a hearing held by the Court of Chief Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), Hon'ble Commissioner desired to know the details of checks conducted in the coaches earmarked for PwDs and the number of persons against whom action was taken as per provisions of Railway Act 1989.
2. It is desired that month-wise details of such checks conducted during the six months period from November 2023 to April 2024 may please be furnished to this office.
2.1 It is also desired that a special drive may be launched from 27.05.2024 to 07.06.2024 to check entry of unauthorized persons in the coaches earmarked for PWDs and action as per provisions of railway Act 1989 may
be taken against persons found travelling unauthorizedly in such coaches.
Details of these checks along with details of month-wise checks conducted
during the six months period mentioned above may be sent to this office by 14.06.2024.
3. Necessary instructions may be issued to all concerned accordingly.
