KV Admission 2023: Minimum Age for Admission in Kendriya Vidyalaya

ELIGIBLE AGE FOR ADMISSION IN KVS FOR THE YEAR 2023-24. 

1. Minimum Age for Admission in  KV Class 1: A Child must be 6 years old for Class I as on 31st March in the academic year in which admission is sought (Child born on 1st April should also be considered.)

2. The minimum and maximum age limit for admission in Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVS) in various classes is given below: (Child born on 1st April should also be considered.)

Class wise minimum and maximum age limit is as given below:

2	II	7 years but less than 09 years of age.
3	III	7 years but less than 09 years of age.
4	IV	8 years but less than 10 years of age.
5	V	9 years but less than 11 years of age.
6	VI	10 years but less than 12 years of age.
7	VII	11 years but less than 13 years of age.
8	VIII	12 years but less than 14 years of age.
9	IX	13 years but less than 15 years of age.
10	X	14 years but less than 16 years of age.
11	XI	There is no age restriction for admission to Class XI provided the student is seeking admission in the year of passing Class X examination
12	XII	Similarly, there will be no upper & lower age limit for admission to class XII provided there has been no break in the continuous study of the student after passing class XI.
